Specialty pickups

It gets complicated. That’s exactly what we’re for.

Auction yards, dealerships, ports, repo facilities, time-bound private purchases — each one has its own traps. Scroll through what actually goes wrong, and what we do about it.

Auction Pickup

01 / 06
The complication

Coordinating a carrier and booking the appointment with the auction house is genuinely tricky — and every day your vehicle sits, storage fees stack up.

How we handle it

We run the appointment booking process end to end and time the carrier to that exact window — so you never pay storage for no reason.

Dealership Transport

02 / 06
The complication

Some dealerships have tricky release hours, or keep drivers waiting so long before dispatching the vehicle that pickups get cancelled entirely.

How we handle it

Our agents are very upfront coordinating with the dealership — and we confirm the car is actually ready before any driver is dispatched. No wasted trips, no cancellations.

Port Pickup & Drop-off

03 / 06
The complication

At RO-RO terminals, carriers won’t wait around for extended hours. Warehouse deliveries fail over missing documentation.

How we handle it

We handle ports all the time. For RO-RO we line up a carrier based near the port who can be there at early-morning opening. For warehouse deliveries, we know exactly what documentation will be asked for — and have it ready.

Repo Yard Release

04 / 06
The complication

Repo yards won’t release a vehicle until the release paperwork is in their hands — and most brokers either forget that or simply delegate it to the carrier.

How we handle it

We don’t. We confirm the release paper is in place — before the truck ever rolls. The pickup happens once, correctly.

Private Purchase

05 / 06
The complication

You bought from a private seller — now you’re coordinating pickup with a stranger whose schedule isn’t yours. If anything slips, the deal gets tense fast.

How we handle it

We coordinate timing with the seller — not you. If there’s a delay, the seller talks to us, not you. We take that responsibility entirely. It’s why so many shippers come back again and again.

A situation not listed?

06 / 06

If it has wheels, we’ve arranged it. Heavy equipment, multi-car moves, military relocations, snowbird seasons — talk to an advisor and we’ll build the plan.

Broker vs. carrier

Should you use a broker to ship your car?

For most vehicle shipments — and especially auction, port, dealership, repo, or time-sensitive private purchases — a licensed auto transport broker is the better choice.

A single carrier is limited to its own trucks, its own routes, and its own schedule. A licensed broker works differently: brokers have access to a national network of verified carriers, match each shipment to the right truck for that specific route and timeline, verify FMCSA authority and active cargo insurance before booking, and adapt quickly when timing or circumstances change — something an individual carrier simply cannot do.

Every shipment is specialized. A snowbird move, a Copart pickup, and a cross-country dealer transfer each need different planning. Discussing your situation with a broker before booking is the single best way to avoid storage fees, failed pickups, and surprise costs — because the right plan at the start prevents most problems before they happen.

Common questions

Car shipping, answered clearly

How does car shipping actually work?
It takes three steps: get a quote (online or by phone), approve it so your broker can book a verified carrier, then meet the driver at pickup where a Bill of Lading documents your vehicle’s condition. You receive a tracking link and your broker monitors the shipment through delivery. With EasyGo, nothing is due until a vetted carrier is assigned.
Should I use a broker or book a carrier directly?
For most shipments — especially auction, port, dealership, repo yard, or time-sensitive moves — a licensed broker is the better choice. Brokers access a national verified carrier network, match the right truck to your specific route and dates, verify insurance and FMCSA authority before booking, and adapt when timing changes. A single carrier is limited to its own trucks and schedule.
How do I ship a car from an auction like Copart or IAAI?
Contact a broker before or right after winning the bid. The broker books the pickup appointment with the auction house, coordinates gate access and lot release, and schedules a carrier to that exact window — so the vehicle isn’t sitting and accumulating daily storage fees. EasyGo handles Copart, IAAI, Manheim, ADESA, GovDeals, and local auctions regularly.
Is a deposit required to book car shipping?
With EasyGo Logistics, no. There is no deposit at the quote stage and nothing due when you accept your price. Payment is collected only after a verified carrier is assigned and you’ve confirmed the details.
What is a Bill of Lading and why does it matter?
The Bill of Lading (BOL) is the official condition report signed by you and the driver at pickup. It documents your vehicle’s pre-existing condition in writing and photographs. If anything changes between pickup and delivery, the BOL is your legal protection. Review it before signing and always keep your copy.
How long does car shipping take?
Regional moves under 500 miles typically deliver in 1–3 days. Coast-to-coast runs about 5–7 days. Expedited service can place a carrier at your door within 24–48 hours. Honest brokers give you realistic windows rather than guarantees that break.
Is my car insured during transport?
Yes — every carrier EasyGo books carries active cargo insurance, verified against current certificates before booking. You receive the insurance documentation before pickup, and the BOL inspection protects you if a claim is ever needed.
Can you pick up from a repo yard, port, or dealership?
Yes — these specialty pickups are routine for us. Each needs specific paperwork and timing: repo yards require release papers in hand before the truck arrives, RO-RO ports need early-morning carriers based nearby, and dealerships need upfront confirmation the vehicle is actually ready. Call us and we’ll usually have a plan the same business day.
